Blog Camps 1.5 and 2.0…here…I…come!

Famille Spud is confined to barracks – we have swine flu. Bawl. Not badly, let’s hope it stays that way. But since we are housebound I thought I’d pass the time by packing for Blog Camps 1.5 and 2.0 (I know, greedy..TWO Blog Camps). A little ahead of time, I realise, but a girl can’t be too organised.

Here are my boys‘ Trunkis which I think are the perfect size for the trip. One for essentials, the other I will take empty and then snaffle a couple of friends to take home with me. I don’t have any many local buddies and at this point my options seem to be (a) knit my own or (b) steal some. Well, I’m not at all crafty (so don’t be expecting any of that crochet nonsense from me, I ‘might’ manage finger knitting?) so (b) it is. The case is kind of small. Must remember to take axe to dismember Blog Camp attendees so I can squish them in my Trunki and then reassemble Chez Spud. Ta da!
Inside one I’ve packed all the essentials:

- Blog Camp T shirt
- Standard issue Converse
- Entire lens/camera stash
- Bottle of white wine (for the journey – will send 10 cases ahead. Each)
- Dressing up kit
- Wig (just in case)
- MacBook
- Passport
- iphone (for non stop Tweeting)
- Grudge Book (never leave home without it)
- Stones for Julochka in case she needs a fix. They are special ones. From my driveway.
Still to be packed:
- Spare liver
- Funnies
- Bleep Revision Notes (so I don’t boob and call everyone by the wrong name)
On the final point, I am aware that I am a Woman of Mystery due to my penchant for dressing up. I don’t want my fellow BC victims attendees to worry about which one I am. So I had my name printed on my Blog Camp T shirt. Thoughtful huh? So, ladies, when you spot the bearded, googly eyed, blonde swishy wig, habit wearing one…you’ll know it’s me.

hilarious!!! I wish I could go to Blog Camp. It looks like such fun!!! But I don’t want to be dismembered and stuffed in a Trunkis. Those are so cute by the way!! I want the tiger one.
What a fun way to travel! And thankfully the flu will pass by then.
Is that the front or the back of the Trunki’s? That pink keyhole looks a bit dubious …
I waaaaaant those Trunkis!!!! Where – Do – I – get – one!!!!!
Soooooo excited about blog camp 1.5!!!!!! But not packing yet!!!
Do you really have swine flu? Does that mean no Latitude? :(
Really swine flu? Oh, get better soon.
You are funny. Do you have to actually camp at blog camp? And agree with Molly, the cow one (?) does look a bit dodgy..
Filthy, filthy…you girls are FILTHY!! Um, it has one of those ‘pink bits’ on the front and back. Make of that what you will.
Yes, alas swine flu but mild. No Latitude, howl. So cross and fed up.
Redhead, um no you don’t actually camp at Blog Camp. Although 1.5 was nearly held at our place, but it would have involved camping. So it was hastily shifted elsewhere.
Why aren’t you going to Blog Camp 2.0? It’s in Copenhagen!! I neeeeed to meet you x
Shereiner…click on the Trunki link. I’m pretty sure they are sold in the US! x
I’m looking forward to seeing pics of you at camp with your glasses and your wig and your beard and your t-shirt! Too Fun!
Oh god I hadn’t thought the trunki’s were rude until I read the comments! Such an innocent mind has been perverted.
I want to come on blog camp, it sounds like fun..pout
I just re-read your blog and figured out the trunkis were yours. I had skimmed earlier (I admit I do this sometimes!) and assummed (I do this way to often!) that the darling little rolling cases belonged to your 2 boys. But no….they are yours. How fun, how crazy, tell us how many 2nd takes you get rolling those around the airport (I’m assuming you’re flying?)….ha!
ok, it’s me again…hopefully I’m not HOGGING the blog comment section. I was thinking about you and the SWINE flu and remembering your recent post about the PIGS and the wig…I have to know; are you pulling our legs? or tails, or snouts or whatevers?
i think it is truly a fantastic packing job you’ve done. i almost bought a fab blue wig yesterday in dublin (was prevented by husband).
and i love the suitcases. they’re great!
and to be honest, not really afraid of the whole dismemberment thing…husband has plenty of axes. and it looks like the trunkis will be nicely ooze-proof. ha!
Love the trunkies and love the bottle of God’s own Sav. Blanc. Very nice!
like you doubt they would know it was you. Are you bringing any pajamas? I would at least recommend that!
I’m baaack!! Well, not home yet from my own version of blogcamp, but still wanted to stop in and say hello. It may already be to late, but I still wanted to wish you fun, fun, fun!!
I still haven’t got any converse. Putting that on my to-do-list for blog camp 1.5. Love the pics of your packing! :-)
