i have an attic like that. two of them actually. and i’m pretty sure someone’s going to make me sort them out very soon. i’m not looking forward to it. however, in light of recent events surrounding absence of internet, it may be put off for a bit…which is a relief.

No way you can get a skip and just chuck the whole lot in? I’m working on the basis currently that if it wasn’t unpacked when we moved two and a bit years ago we haven’t missed it and I can chuck it (or take to the charity shop…)

Only trouble is that Mr Muddling is a hoarder and thinks I’m going to get rid of something invaluable … bah

p.s. your technique is the right one for clearing (and did you do the I Was Right Dance ?

my speed is not too bad but even after 5 minutes I can’t have the photo (of the mess???) oh that reminds me of the day when I was alone at home and a tiny stream became a river after a thunderstorm. and how I tried to keep the ddors to our basement tight with pillows, hahaha. the mess was not only wet but a reddish-sandish-soilish-really-sticky mess. but after a few years I can still say I can hardly remeber what we lost except for somme drawings I did in college. apparently it wasn’t important at all. without the flooding we would have had one more container to move to ireland almost 10 years ago!!!! xxxx eliane

The picture of your megaboy grooving to that drum (with all of the box mess in the background) illustrates this post wonderfully! And did Mr.Spud REALLY concede — and by that, I mean did he actually say that you were right? My husband doesn’t know how to do that. The most he will ever give me is a smirk.
