Is my blog broken?

Autumn 2009, originally uploaded by isayx3.
I like doing tribute shots, it’s a good one for when inspiration is low and is also a neat way of paying tribute to photographers who you admire.
The pigs have gone. We left very early this morning, to be at the slaughterhouse for 6am. Our pigs were very calm and well behaved, unlike the lot in front who had very noisy sex in the holding pen….well, that’s the way to go I suppose. It was all very orderly and the animals were treated with due respect. I’m surprised I didn’t feel emotional about it at all, I had a real fondness for them however. Feels strange to know their enclose is empty now…they had a good life though, a huge outside pen, truffling for acorns from the trees….it was a pretty blessed life as piggy lives go. And their end was stress free for them (they were asleep in the trailor!) and humane. As it should be.
Interesting people watching opportunity at the slaughterhouse…and old country gent handed over a wodge of notes to the slaughterman, growling, “That’s the money for the killin’” at him, in a deep Suffolk accent. ‘The money for the killin’…waaaaah, Mafia stylee.
My 4.15am start is catching up with me. It’s only 8.40am and it feels like lunchtime. I feel like going back to bed but am on Mummy Duty today, curses.

Just seeing if this works…xxx
Works for me…
I can leave a comment
) But I had to click the “no comments” bit to get to it x
Awww, RIP pigs!
Great autumnal feeling in that photo! Reminds me of a few that I took last year, on a day out with Ethan and Ysella – especially this one:

It works for me… obviously!
Oh, poor pigs! When I was a child, my grandparents used to kill their pigs themselves! It’s still an important tradidition in rural Spain!
Everything completely normal on this end. I was fascinated to read about the pigs. Ever since I read Skinny Bitch and the chapter on the beyond inhumane (torture) practices in the slaughterhouses, I can’t eat meat. Do you know how they are actually slaughtered once they reach their final destination? I would be curious to know. Bizarre first thing in the morning thoughts…
It takes ages, but it works! Lovely autumnal photos and… well, I hope the pigs’ sacrifice was well worth it.
Lovely killin’ description, I can just see Suffolk Mafioso!
It didn’t load right for me…the first picutre is off to the right side, covered by the contact me information. Tell Mr. Spud I am on a Mac running Safari 4.0.3!
The rest looks beautiful!
yes I can comment even if the photograph of your newest post is somewhere else but not where it should be, I try to post the screenshot – oh no it needs an URL – I mail it directly.
great shot…love the sun in the back… rip to the piggies and love the mafia bit…very soprano-ish
I have that reloading problem with your blog too. I had to press “stop” to be able to comment. weird – do you have some sort of auto-update on the comment section maybe?

I just love these pictures. They make me want to be sitting on a blanket in
the grass and not stuck in a cubicle.

Your blog isn’t broken for me… hmmmmm. Maybe they really don’t want to admit they would rather not come over here anymore? No that would be too Minnesotan of them – are they from Minnesota? I tease.
Ok, so seriously – love the photo *leaning nearer to you and whispering* (psssstttt… don’t tell, but I like yours better)
I think my blog is broke since noone comments anymore
or I have been crap about visiting others blogs. Also all my good writing energy has gone to another blog as a contributor it seems. Sigh… whatever- I don’t care. (ok, too Minnesotan, sorry)
I’m gone too much self wallowing on my part.
goodbye piggies, but i gotta say: i love me some ham. i would have done it too.
i left a post on here the other day but it’s gone.. did you delete it?
yes it seems it has a problem. it reloads constantly and I had to write my message somewhere else and then copy paste it for you.
…? What can be this problem?! Anyway I hope you can fix it.
xo
Those are beautiful leaf shots! And I feel a little sad about the pigs, although I bet they’re tasty
Sorry I’ve been so slow to comment, but I do keep up even if I’m quiet and i’ve had no problems with your blog. hmmm
That’s a beautiful photo, I’m going look for acorns tomorrow! xx
