This much I know

Day 3 of The Big Freeze in the UK. I’ve taken around 1,000 photos of which pretty much none are anything special. Why is snow so hard to capture?  Quite apart from getting the white balance right, I’m drawn to trying to getting the ‘whole’ to get the scale of how much snow we have. But none of the shots seem to be anything other than a big load of white. Perhaps the idea is to capture the details? Answers on a postcard please.

I used the above shot for my 365 project yesterday. Thank goodness the end of the year is in sight, I’m staggering along to the end totally devoid of inspiration and am reduced to taking photos of my washing line.  Shoot me…shoot me now…but please be sure to use a Nikon. I thank you.
