Winter Wonderland

Hoorah. It snowed for real and the country came to a standstill as usual. MrSpud stayed home and we didn’t budge from the farm all day. Instead, we sledged. We staked out our run:

We sledged solo

There was quite a lot of trudging back up the hill of course

We worked in pairs (not shown…me and MrSpud sledging a deux…didn’t trust the boys with the camera, funny that)

And then some showoffs worked as a trio

Didn’t end too well though…

And then it got REALLY silly. One of our number decided to indulge in Extreme Sledging whilst videoing himself in the process. Alas I am married to this person. He’s 38 by the way. Not 8. I just thought I’d point that out…

Ah MrSpud. It’s lucky you are so devastatingly good looking (although would you GET a haircut?) and charming and wonderful and such a good father and funny and supportive and don’t bother arguing with me too much because it isn’t worth the hassle. Otherwise I would sneer and deride you as an utter neerdy geek. Oh..wait…

Oooh Spud these pictures are gorgeous – I am loving the quality of light and general fun-ness of them; captured so well. No snow here, not even a smattering; am v v jealous, looks like you had fun. Next time, a self portrait of you and Mr Spud on the tandem, ta. xx
That looks like fun. I almost wish we had snow here. I think it’s fabulous Mr. Spud acts 8!
What awesome pictures! So vivid!
I’m smiling here! What fun! I loved the photos, the smiles, the laughs (yes I can hear them!) But where oh where are your gloves/mittens? Is British snow warmer than Colorado snow? Hmmm? Yea for snow days! And yea for you being ready for Christmas! Early! Very impressive.
what fun!!!
Dammit Spud, your blog just makes me more and more homesick for Suffolk. Can you come and take fantastic pics of Oxfordshire to make me happy to stay here, thankyouplease?
wow, how much snow and even more sunshine, the megaboys must adore this rare occasion. we put or gas heater in the greenhouse last night otherwise our budgies would have died. i am afraid we have to continue with that measure for a few days. we had no camera with us when our border collie tried to drink out of his usual bowl this morning: his drink was solid and so was his expression, somehow petrified! xxx eliane
