LMAO... So funny Spud... Gotta love the kiddie quirks... I had sooooo much trouble trying to convince my eldest that she "could" ride a bike if she wanted to... In the end it was the good old bribery offer of replacing her old rusty one with a shiny new one that tipped the balance... lol...

The biking picture is spectacular! Did you have to use a set, though? I haven't seen a blue sky in weeks. (It looks a bit like New Mexico to me.)

How nice that your son is displaying a becoming modesty about his accomplishments. Letting the action speak for itself, obviously.

You look beautiful either way, but I did love your curls. What does Mr. Spud think? Is he like Sigmund, who has never passed comment on my hair in 17 years of marriage?

oh, my son is sixteen and a bit and every time i see him mounting his bike it is like when he was five and hit every street light... but he manages to get from A to B - somehow. once the police (garda here in ireland) got hold of him because he is not willing to wear one of those sexy neon plastic vests... you are brave, really, it is so much easier to have short hairs if you're a working and otherwise busy mom (and not to forget the crochet which keeps you busy since recently). hugs from the slow line country eliane

Oh, but even I AM proud! :) I remember so well when I could ride my big bike for the first time (I did have to have stabilizers for a while though, shame on me!). It's so funny, how he's been getting himself ready all this time, and then he decides he can do it.... and he does!
Oh, but they're not right about your hair! You look fab!

I'm ashamed to say that my daughter, now 6, is probably the only one of her friends who has never ridden a bike, training wheels or no. It's pretty sad. This will be the year, I'm tellin' ya!

Congratulations for the boyo! That feeling of independence and the ability to FLY is fabulous!
