In a rare moment of Blog Housekeeping I have (a) updated my blogroll (b) done something really groovy with avatars if you comment on a post and (c) added those badges to the right, up top. I’m really proud of the badges. Not because of the rankings (although that’s very nice) but because I managed to wrestle with HTML and put them up myself. Normally I have to whinge at MrSpud or pay someone to do techie stuff on Chez Spud so I’m really very chuffed. Next badge? Spud is a Big Fat Show Off (ranked #1).
Updating the blogroll was a mammoth task. If you know I read your blog and you’re not on there, please tell me! It’s an oversight, it’s not personal. Of if you’re a lurky lurker please say hello here so I can start reading your blog and put you in the list! Let’s be friends, why don’t we?
Which brings me to the totally GROOVY bit. I’ve changed my avatar thingy so now, if you don’t have a gravatar with your own image/photo, the ‘puter is going to generate one for you. No big shakes there, that’s how it’s been for a year. Previously, you got a pretty pattern. But now you get a really, really funky monster avatar…a different one for each of you. OOOOOH! I’m surprisingly thrilled with this seemingly minor tweak. Please comment so we can admire your monsterousness. C’mon, you know you want to…
Feels good to have had a tidy up round here. I was becoming a Bloggy Slattern as well as a Domestic Slattern, as per photo above. Remember that one from last year? Secret 3 of my 30 secrets in 30 days…“I am a domestic slattern”.
The playroom still pretty much looks like that. It’s a permanent feature. I’m thinking of renaming it as an ‘art installation’. Any excuse not to have to tidy the damn thing. Still, at least my blog is spick ‘n’ span now.
Comment, c’mon…let’s see those monsters. Let your inner monster free….grrrr…
