..and in that moment the garden was bathed in celestial light, revealing a knackered old freezer, a seized up roller, a weird trailer thing, a collapsed wooden bench and a vintage Hoover.

    I find having a skip very cathargic – I particularly enjoyed the one we had where I chucked all the horrid concrete animals the previously owners had hidden around the garden…
